DIY A Bohemian Flower Headband in A Matter of Minutes

Happy New Year guys!

I admit it. I am O B S E S S E D with flower halos, flower crowns, headbands...
And since winter here in California really isn't that wintery,
I figured I'd start the new year off with a flower craft.

You can make this thing in a matter of minutes, I kid you not.

And you can wear it so many different ways.
The flowers can be at the front, on the side, at the back...
Your hair can be over or under the string braid,
or why not tie the whole thing around a hat?

Thank you Em for modelling!

How to:

Cut six pieces of jute string.
Length depends on how long you want your string to be,
cut a fair bit longer since it'll get shorter when you braid it plus you need extra for the knots.

Make a knot at one end of the strings, then start braiding normally (two strings per braid piece).

When you're about 1/4 of the way, start braiding in flowers into the mix.
This is easiest with flowers that have several small flowers, since there are then several small stems to braid around.

I did about 10 inches (25cm) of flowers, then I braided the rest of the strings and did a knot at the end.

Flowers and jute string from Michaels.

Then just tie the ends together and you're done!
