Yesterday it was Husband's birthday, so we decided to head out to Palo Alto for dinner. Found this friendly and relaxed Cuban place, La Bodequita del Medio, and the food was good! Can recommend the Empanadas and the Ropa Vieja.

I really wanted to wear this fun top by Forever 21, but worried it might be too busy for a necklace (and I rarely leave the house without one). But I discovered that opposites make a great match! A really busy graphic "hard" pattern goes pretty darn well with a more "softly" formed necklace. So here, my go-to necklace from Pieces from a couple of years back thrown together with red Vila jeggings, a Pieces black leather belt and black demi wedges by Nine West (they were a steal at Nordstrom Rack!).
